Which calendar?

We are looking at ways to allow teachers the ability to have protected planning so that your student will have the most individualized experience.

Options?

A longer school year, but 4 days a week with longer breaks?

OR

5 days a week, but Monday and Friday are shorter days.

The state requires a specific amount of instructional time per student and grade level. The recommendation is 180 days, but if there are fewer than 175 days per year, there is a monetary penalty.
